Failure ≠ Dumb Idea

I’ve been embarking upon a variety of “do-it-yourself” projects with varying degrees of success.

(Hint: Always have a backup plan.)

(Hint: Always have a backup plan. I had some brie on hand, just in case.)

Making bread: Success.

Making cheese: Failure.

Mending the lining to my fleece-lined jeans (an excellent idea, BTW): Sucess, for now.

What I’m driving at is this: try things.  It doesn’t matter if other people say you’re weird or uncool.  Those people lead boring lives.

But to avoid doing something really dumb, just stop and think.  Look at your watch and say to yourself, “for the next 15 seconds, I’m going to think really hard about what I’m about to do”.  You’ll be amazed by the improvement in your results.
